Hurricane Isaias: claim numbers

Hurricane Isaias Insurance Claim Numbers for Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida

Claim phone numbers and online claim links for the insurers writing homeowners policies in the three states, the AIUA, MWUA, and Citizens wind pools, flood insurance, and the state insurance departments. Each number was read on the insurer’s own page on October 15, 2026 and links to that page.

Independent. 1st Choice Living is not affiliated with any insurer, wind pool, or FEMA. We are a temporary housing company. Your policy and your adjuster decide what is covered.

Before you call. Have your policy number, the property address, and the date of loss. The National Hurricane Center put landfall near Destin, Florida, the evening of October 9, 2026. If the home is not livable, ask whether the policy includes Additional Living Expenses, what the limit is, and where to send receipts. Write down the claim number and the adjuster’s name. Then, if a trailer on your own lot would help, here is how that works.

After a hurricane the first call is to the insurer, and the number on the policy documents is the one to use. If the documents are wet, gone, or in another town, these are the numbers each company prints on its own claims page, with the link so you can check it yourself. Numbers in this list were read October 15, 2026; insurers add storm lines and change numbers after an event, so the linked page wins if the two differ.

If the home is not livable

Many homeowners policies include Additional Living Expenses, also called loss of use, which pays for somewhere to live while the house is repaired. Ask the adjuster whether yours does and what the limit is. 1st Choice Living places a furnished travel trailer on your own lot, checks the local rules for your address first, and bills the carrier directly where the claim covers it. How it works, state by state, is on our Hurricane Isaias page, and the local RV rules for every area are on Hurricane Isaias RV rules by county.

Stay on your lot while the house is repaired

Call or send the request form with your claim number, your adjuster’s contact, and the property address. One named contact, local rules checked before delivery, direct billing to your carrier where the claim covers it.

Frequently asked questions

Which number do I call if my wind coverage is with AIUA, MWUA, or Citizens?

The wind claim goes to the pool that wrote the wind policy: AIUA at 1-866-780-2482, MWUA at 1-866-634-4465 or 1-800-853-4434, or Citizens at 866.411.2742, each as printed on the pool’s own claims page on October 15, 2026. The company that writes the rest of your homeowners policy handles the non-wind parts of the claim. If you are not sure which policy covers what, call both and ask each adjuster in writing.

Does flood insurance pay for somewhere to live?

FloodSmart, the National Flood Insurance Program’s site, lists temporary housing and additional living expenses during your home’s repair among the things flood insurance does not cover. Report a flood loss to the company that wrote the flood policy; NFIP Direct policyholders call (800) 638-6620, and (877) 336-2627 finds your flood insurer if you do not know it.

What should I say when I call?

Give your policy number, the property address, the date of loss (the storm made landfall the evening of October 9, 2026), what was damaged, and whether the home is livable. If it is not, ask whether your policy includes Additional Living Expenses, what the limit is, and where to send receipts. Write down the claim number and the adjuster’s name and number.

Is 1st Choice Living connected to any of these companies?

No. 1st Choice Living is an independent temporary housing company. We are not affiliated with any insurer, wind pool, or FEMA, and we do not decide coverage. We place a furnished travel trailer on your own lot and bill the carrier under ALE where the adjuster approves it.

A number here is wrong or has changed. What do I do?

Use the number on your policy documents or the insurer’s own site; each entry links the page we read it on. Insurers change numbers and add storm lines after an event. Tell us and we will fix the page.
