Frequently asked questions

Are you part of Farm Bureau?

No. 1st Choice Living is an independent temporary housing company. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the American Farm Bureau Federation, any state Farm Bureau, or any Farm Bureau insurance company.

We already use a housing company. Can we still use you?

Yes. Stay with your housing company and ask them to send us the file. We work through housing companies and TPAs, and most set us up as a vendor.

Can a trailer go on a farm or ranch?

Usually. It depends on the site and the local rules. We confirm the property can take a unit and check local rules before delivery.

Who do you bill?

The carrier, TPA, or housing company that owns the file. On a covered claim the family does not front the cost.

Does the policy cover a trailer?

That depends on the policy, and it is the adjuster’s decision. We do not interpret coverage. We send a written quote for the file.
